Refund & Cancellation Policy

2.1 Service Packages
Due to the involvement of dedicated labor and custom digital deliverables, we adhere to the following for package-based services:

The 24-Hour Grace Period: You are allowed to request a full refund within 24 hours of purchasing a service package, provided that the intake form has not been reviewed and the initial strategy call has not taken place.

Commencement of Work: After you fill out the custom intake form and it is reviewed by kNotED or the initial consultation call is done, the project will be considered as “in progress”. At this stage, only a 50% partial refund will be available for your convenience should you choose to cancel.

Post-Delivery: Once you receive the first draft of your work(i.e., resume, ghostwriting, business writing, or any service), no refunds will be issued as the service has been rendered in full.

The Revision Guarantee: Your satisfaction is my top priority. Each package or service contract comes up with two rounds of revisions. In case you are unhappy with the first draft, we will go through the revision process and refine your document/content to meet your expectations.


2.2 Project Abandonment (The "Ghosting" Clause)

As a service provider, I must keep my schedule efficient for all respected clients. That is why communication is vital.When a client places an order and then fails to provide the required information or his/her feedback for more than 30 days without prior notice, the project will be marked as "Completed/Abandoned". 

And sorry to say, no refunds will be issued for such abandoned projects. If you want to initiate the project again, then a restart fee will be applied to reopen the file.

2.3 Custom Quoted Services (e.g., Book Editing, Ghostwriting, Self-Publishing Support)
Deposits: The project, which will be initiated upon discussion, such as the scope of the project, cost, deadline, etc., is known as a custom project. This kind of project will need you to make a non-refundable deposit(partial) in order to secure a spot on my calendar.

Milestone Payments: When it comes to a large project(a huge amount of work, time, and effort required), payments are often split into milestones. Once a milestone is reached and the work of that milestone is delivered, the payment should be made, which is non-refundable.

 

2.4 Digital Products & Courses (Downloads/9-Module Program)
No Refunds: Because of the instant access nature of digital products like ebooks, toolkits, and pre-recorded course materials, all of your purchases are final. We do not offer a trial period for digital downloads.

2.5 Physical Books (Hardcover & Paperback)
A. Damage and Manufacturing Defects
Although we are confident about the quality of our publications, something wrong might happen. In the event you receive a book with a manufacturing defect (e.g., missing pages, blurred text, or incorrect binding), or it was damaged during transit (e.g., torn cover, crushed spine):

 

Reporting Period: You must notify us at kimani@knoted.net within 7 days of delivery.

Evidence: Please do not forget to mention your order number and some clear photos of the damage/defect item and the packaging.

Resolution: Upon verification, we will provide a replacement copy at no additional cost to you.

 

B. "Change of Mind" Returns
Know that our paperback and hardcover books are published through the “Print on Demand” service for our customers. For this, we can not accept or offer refunds due to a "change of mind." Soon after( within a few hours) of placing your order, the info is automatically sent to our service provider’s printer for production, which is why we are unable to accept such a cancellation/refund. We strongly advise reviewing your order carefully before completing your purchase.


C. Shipping and Lost Packages
Address Accuracy: You, as a buyer, are responsible for providing a correct and secure shipping address. We are not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer.

Tracking: All physical book orders will have a tracking system ( a number, a live link with delivery progress, and transits). If a package is marked as "Delivered" by the carrier but you have not received it, please contact the shipping carrier directly.

Lost in Transit: If a package is confirmed as "Lost" by the carrier (not delivered), we will work with our printing partner to ship a replacement.


2.6 Live Events & Workshops
Cancellations: In case you decide to cancel your registration for a live workshop and inform us at least 7 days before the event, you will get half of the total amount refunded.

No-Shows: If a subscriber fails to attend or ask for cancellation during the live time, the fee is non-refundable. You may want to request a recording of the session (if available).
